To participate in this retreat you need to have completed at leats five times the Igniting the Sacred Fires Retreat.
"As the life of the process emerges there will be a need of prolonged intensity to burn deeper Sanskars, to dissolve deeper layers of the mind, more and more absorbed in to the fire of meditation. May you be able to enter, remain and honor the Sacred grounds of inner communion." Narayana
Introduction: Embracing The Sacred Fires is the next step after Igniting the Sacred Fires, the seeker of Truth Embraces the life of the spiritual process, and makes his Spiritual practice the axis of his life.
Technique: The technique used will be a very effective Kriya Pranayama from the Kriya Yoga tradition. During your Silent Meditation Retreat, you will learn this Kriya in stages. This is a more advanced, more subtle Kriya, the final stage of kriya. It is not merely Kriya but also Sadhana (Spiritual practice) as a whole. For those who have matured enough from the first Kriya, and feel it is time to go even deeper.
Teachings: “Aparokshanubhuti – Self-Realization” is a series of videos where Narayana comments on a famous work by Adi Sankaracharya. This is an introduction to Vedanta, and it is according with the scriptures. This work also brings insight into Raja Yoga, where duality meets unity. These teachings are intermediate to advanced. At the end of each day you will watch the videos, which will bring you an understanding of your meditation and spiritual process as a whole.
Format: This is a Silent Meditation Retreat, which means it is in complete silence, it's 10 days long. There will be 10 hours a day of Meditation in the Meditation hall, and daily instructions concerning the technique and the spiritual path. There will be 2 simple vegetarian meals a day, lunch will be the last meal. We advise to take light meals, so that it does not disturb the practice, and we do not allow for complete fasting during the Retreat. In the last day if Narayana is in the ashram, it will be possible to participate in the Satsang where you will be able to clarify doubts of your spiritual path and of your retreat. In the absence of Narayana you can access the videos of his satsangs with the most pertinent questions and answers.
Accommodations: Our Ashram has male and female accommodation, where there are shared rooms 2 to 3 persons according to the size of the room, with shared bathrooms, to be distributed according to our availability. The accommodations are simple, have the basics needed for your stay and are within easy reach of the meditation hall. Their care is the responsibility of each participant.
To whom: For those who have mastered the first Kriya, meaning that you have participated for at least five times of the first kriya retreats and have maintained a steady daily practice between retreats, allowing your practice to evolve to the point that it makes sense to go to next level.
Who's sharing: These Retreats are conducted by the Swamis (monks) under Narayana’s Guidance.
